Market Pulse- September 2008

Posted on: September 17, 2008

Dear All, as you know all mobile operators loses some of their subscribers every week. In Market research term, we call them ‘Silent’. For the definition Silent means the subscriber who have not generated a single CDR (Call Data Record) during the last 3 weeks.

Back to the point, all operators loses some customers every week but they make it up through new sales. But as SIM prices have gone up, it is now impossible to gather a sizable customer base through new sales and make up for lost customers (churn). Which means operators are going to have less and less subscribers in the coming weeks. AND THAT HAS BECOME A HUGE CONCERN FOR EVERY BODY.

So far all operators have been able to show a growing trend of their subscribers but now the time has changed. This time the curve will turn downwards.
